Elegant Louis XV style entre-deux table by Paul Sormani (1817–1877), Paris.Mahogany veneer with marquetry decoration on the lower shelf, it opens with a drawer decorated with a gilt bronze knob and fitted with its original lock. Bronze signature plaque engraved “P. Sormani, Paris, 10 rue Charlot”. Veined marble top, surrounded by an openwork gilt bronze gallery. The arched legs, enriched with foliate appliques and finished with gilt bronze claw feet, are joined by a spacer shelf surrounded by an openwork gallery.Dimensions: H. 76 cm × W. 46 cm × D. 36 cmA fine example of the refined craftsmanship of Paul Sormani, a 19th-century Parisian master cabinetmaker.
