Elegant pair of Louis XV period benches in walnut.
Their double-curved belts are harmoniously sculpted with stylized shells decorated with a flower in their center and framed with winding net, an ornamentation that is regularly found in the seats of the cabinetmaker Pere Gourdin.
They rest on 6 scrolling feet, curved and sculpted with falling acanthus leaves and shells ending in scrolls, at the foot.

It was unusual under Louis XV to find seats of this kind, long and in pairs.
This particularity is found more in Louis XVI.
