Pair of large rococo sconces, circa 1850

Rare pair of sconces in finely chased and mercury-gilded bronze. Model with two light branches. The stems are decorated with acanthus scrolls and buds. The two branches are delicately decorated with whip strokes; they support the two bowls decorated with vegetal motifs, which support two bobeches in the shape of twisted vases.
High-quality chasing and mercury-gilding.

Perfectly preserved.

Parisian work circa 1850, probably by a large workshop such as Dasson or Beurdeley.

Dimensions: Height: 56 cm; Width: 38 cm

Provenance: Private collection, Paris.
