A boxwood okimono depicting Shoki on the move, armed with his unmistakable sword, in search of evil spirits. Carved from a single block of wood, Shoki is shown standing on a rock, his gaze directed downward as he prepares to ambush a hidden oni. Signed under the base and complete with the original tomobako.

Period: Meiji, late 19th – early 20th century
