A Tokyo school ivory okimono, carved from a single block, depicting a fisherman holding a long rope with numerous fish hanging from it. At his side, a child offers him a float with a hook, while with his right hand he holds a pierced basket.
Signed Ry?sui engraved under the base.
Period: Meiji, late 19th century
Dimensions: 33.5 x 13 x 11.5 cm
Condition: Excellent condition. Natural ivory fissures are present.
