Inro and his wooden Netsuké from the Meji period (1868-1912)

Inro and his Netsuké in wood carved in the imitation of bamboo, with leaves treated in slight relief on the outside lacquered red inside. The netsuke, imitating a wicker basket with lotus fruit, bears a two-character signature on the reverse.
