Louis XV period work
Exceptional pentagonal lantern in finely chiseled and gilded bronze with curved glass panes and three light arms.
It is decorated with symmetrical movement in the upper section, with lattice volutes surrounded by foliage and meeting in the center by a wide openwork leaf scroll.
Each symmetry is interrupted by a drop motif of highly arched stylized foliage.
The lower ends of the edges are decorated with a leafy spike ending in scrolls, which frame, in the center of the panes, a leafy and beaded bouquet.
The simple sockets are supported by bobeches forming flowers and connected to each other by strongly curved stems.
It is supported by five scrolling arms, each separated by a bead and a second scroll that joins in a scroll on the crown.
This lantern is electrically powered.
Beautiful original gilding and exquisite carving.
