Pair of cassolettes forming candleholders Empire period

Rare model with handles forming winged lions. The lids are fitted with a seed grip. The reverse side of the lids reveals binnacles emerging from flower-like foliage. A refined model, right down to the assembly details: the urn tightening nut is a rosette visible at the bottom of the vase. Original mercury gilding.
