Jean-Baptiste Pillement (1728-1808) - Pair Of Landscapes

Oil on copper signed by Jean Batiste Pillement and one of the two dated 1786.

The first represents a wooded landscape with a herdsman and his cattle.

The second represents a rocky river landscape with figures and sheep.

The period corresponds to trips to Portugal and Spain. It was at this time that he painted his most beautiful landscapes.
