The model stands on eight sheath-form legs joined by stretchers, and is fitted with seven drawers and a central cupboard door.
Parisian work from the last quarter of the 17th century, attributed to the Dutch-born cabinetmaker Alexandre-Jean Oppenordt (1639–1715).
