Medieval Limoges 'Poupée' from a reliquary casket in copper with champlevé technique. The head of the figure (probably an Evangelist because He holds a book) is well pronounced and the body is adorned with turquoise, blue azure, white and red enamel. Hand and book are engraved in the copper. Limoges, 13th century. Two perforations for attachment to reliquary casket. Some parts of the enamel missing. Otherwise good condition.
Dimensions (without stand): 8,2 x 2,5cm. On brass stand.
