A bowl "The Dream of Constantin", Pesaro

A circular bowl with an "a istoriato" decor depicting The Dream of Constantin".
The figure of the angel is inspired by an engraving of Marcantonio Raimondi and the soldiers are probably inspired by an engraving of Giovanni Jacopo Caraglio.

Dated 1544 with inscription to the reverse : "Dill buon Costantin la uision santa . 1544.".
