The technique of painting used such as, the style of dress and the pigments of colors as well as the light, allows to attribute our portrait to the painter Alexis Simon Belle (1674-1734).

Great portraitist of the late seventeenth, early eighteenth.
He was a pupil of Jean Francois de Troy and accompanied him to England at the court of James II.
In August 1700, Belle won the Prix de Rome, but went to Saint-Germain instead of traveling to Italy.
he specialized in the portrait of the court of France and that of England.
