The Saint Michael sits high on the horseback with his raised sword above the devil. The subdued devil lies with an anxious face at the feet of the saint and his horse. The victory of Saint Michael over the devil has been won. The Sculpture is standing on a pedestal and in front view. The Memorial Day of Saint Michael we celebrated in the Roman catholic church on september 29th.
Style and design point to a tyrolean work from Val Gardena Valley.
Good condition, with additions of the front horse hoofs and the sword of the saint.
