Historical Annecdote : Jacques Martin is a Lyonnais painter (born November 11, 1844 and died November 13, 1919) known for his many paintings of flowers, still lifes, and portraits in which we find the influence of his master François Vernay and that as painter Auguste Renoir. As early as 1881, he took part in numerous Paris and Lyonnais exhibitions, notably at the 1894 World's Fair.
