18th century Meïssen lidded terrine

A terrine with lid in porcelain of Meissen.
It rests on four lion feet with claws.
The body of the terrine of Rocaille style, with crenelated edge heightened with gold, are decorated with fine polychrome flowers.

On the lid a love holding a cornucopia pouring the porcelain flowers.

This dish probably was part of a service executed on the occasion of a marriage.

Marked to the swords in underglaze blue.

circa 1740
