Hand-forged wrought-iron chandelier in the Art Nouveau style. It hangs from a forged leaf-form ceiling cup above an open crown of C-scrolls, with a horizontal ring finished with spear-point terminals. From this crown, three twisted suspension rods, each set with a basket-twist (“birdcage”) element, carry the main frame.
A hammered square stem turns into a twisted column at its lower part. The body is built from bold C- and S-scrolls, spiral volutes, rope-twisted arms and hammered flat bars with pointed terminals. It is decorated with forged acanthus leaves and a finely sculpted lily blossom at the top. It has three pendant lights in leaf-form iron cups and a fourth light set beneath the lily, all fitted with frosted, ruffled glass tulip shades. A foliate knop and turned finial complete the base. The black finish shows age-appropriate wear and small chips. The fixture has been rewired; the shades are later additions.
Dimensions: total height 140 cm (including ceiling cup), width 95 cm.
