A half-moon-shaped “Bonheur du jour” made of wood veneer, inlaid with rosewood, stained sycamore, and amaranth, featuring Chinese-style utensils on all sides. The stepped upper section is adorned with an openwork gallery of chiseled and gilded bronze and opens via a small central drawer topped by an open compartment flanked on either side by concealed doors that open via a system of push buttons hidden inside the drawer. The semicircular top is encircled by a bronze gallery; a drawer serving as a writing desk opens within the band, incorporating a writing tablet covered in green leather and two compartments containing a writing set made of silver-plated metal. The arched legs, with finely chiseled bronze finials decorated with foliage and garlands, are joined by a kidney-shaped crossbar and terminate in enveloping feet decorated with foliage. Ornamentation consists of chiseled and gilded bronze.

Stamped with the mark of Léonard Boudin (master craftsman in 1761) as a dealer and the guild hallmark.
