Pair of chased and gilt bronze candelabra, circa 1860

Exceptional pair of finely chased and gilt bronze candelabra, with richly sculpted decoration of scrollwork and fantastic figures. Each candelabrum features six light arms arranged around a central stem surmounted by an elegant decorative bouquet.
The remarkable quality of the chasing, the profusion of details, and the superb original gilding testify to work of exceptional quality, in the spirit of French productions of the second half of the 19th century.
Model attributed to Pierre Gauthier, in the tradition of the great French bronziers and decorators.
Condition: very fine state of preservation, beautiful gilding, displaying superb quality.
