Original 18th-century German copperplate engravings, hand-colored.

These sheets are framed in groups of 3 within beautiful oak mats. The collection consists of 12 sheets in total, originating from the famous work "Phytanthoza Iconographia" (Phanthologia Magna) by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann or similar 18th-century German publications.

The outlines and shadows were printed from copper plates, after which professional colorists hand-painted them using watercolors. It is this hand-coloring that makes each print unique.

The collection consists of 4 sets, with 3 engravings in each (12 prints in total), curated with a focus on medicinal botany and historical pharmacopoeia.
