Pair of large baluster-shaped vases made of Chinese porcelain from the Qianlong period (1735–1796), decorated with Fohang birds perched on pierced rocks against a background of peonies. The base is encircled by an antique gilt-bronze molding, and the upper section is adorned with a re-pierced gilt-bronze neck. Both vases are equipped with a removable lamp fixture.
