L'Étude, dial signed Dubuc Le Jeune

Large pendant in brown bronze and finely cast, gilded with mercure, attributed to the famous sculptor and bronzer Pierre-Victor LEDURE, symbolizing « L'Étude ». The pieces are serti dans un socle rectangulaire drapé, surmonté de trois livres : the one carries the inscription PHIS TOM 3 and the other ASTRO TOM 1. From part and of the other socle you will find a female figure, personnifiant « L'Étude », the gauche tail appuyé sur des livres et tenant un diploma roll on the main right. The socle is in antique green marble, adorned with a central gilt bronze frize representing the putti studying architecture, astronomy and design.
