Offered by Franck Baptiste Paris
Rectangular in shape, it opens with two glazed doors revealing an interior fitted with two shelves. The front is entirely adorned with elegant Boulle marquetry of scrolling foliage and symmetrical motifs in brass inlaid on an ebony ground.
The sides feature geometric decoration of brass inlays.
The lower section consists of a plinth with shaped crossbeams embellished with acanthus scrolls and a large bronze mask of Ceres.
The cornice displays an ebony frieze on a brass ground.
The doors, cornice, and plinth are highlighted with thick bronze moldings decorated with finely chiseled gadroons.
The core is made of softwood.
In excellent condition, with original bronze fittings, lock, and bolts.
The top is black Portoro marble veined with white and gold stringing. (Later)
