Dressed Wax Of The Child Circa 1800

Beautiful devotional work from the very late 18th or early 19th century incarved and gilded wood, topped by a wooden angel.The wax Child is surrounded by colorful flowers and is dressed in a nicely embroideredembroidered robe. He lies serenely on a velvet cushion trimmed with braid, at the foot of a high mountainat the foot of a high mountain on which several miniature buildingsare set.A work of fervor probably from northern Italy.
Dimensions 81 cm long by 65 cm high and 33 cm deep. Fresh fabrics and decor.
Nice condition, except for the glass domedome, several elements of which are missing and have been replaced bysulfured paper.
