A Louis XVI period mahogany console table with three drawers in the front. It rests on four tapered legs joined by a stretcher.
The top is surmounted by a molded white marble slab. The drawers are adorned with circular gilt-bronze pulls.
The uprights feature gilt-bronze mounts decorated with stylized acanthus leaves, while the feet terminate in small gilt-bronze sabots.
The piece is beautifully proportioned and harmonious.
This console, distinguished by its slender depth, bears the stamp of N.S. Dusault, a master cabinetmaker active at the end of the 18th century.
