In burnished bronze and finely chased and mercury-gilded bronze. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals and Arabic minute numerals, signed Thomas à Paris.

Exquisite settings and appliques depicting a bull, sphinxes, a falcon, emblems of Horus and canopic jars, and the god

Osiris on the finial. France. Period: Directoire. Dimensions: H x W x D: 62.5 x 35 x 15 cm.
