The curved shape opens with a door on the front; the curved uprights terminate in cabriole feet connected by a delicately shaped stretcher.
The door is adorned with a substantial decoration executed in gold powder on a black ground, depicting a lakeside landscape embellished with pagodas and fishermen in traditional Chinese costumes.
Fine ornamentation of mercury-gilt bronze mounts, including rocaille drops, a lamp base, and two feet.
