Oil on canvas. 17th century French school. Portrait of a young man in armour in a period carved and gilded wooden frame. On the back of its original canvas, an inscription “Monsieur de Chartres” maybe related to a portrait of Philippe of Orléans duke of Chartres painted by Hyacinthe Rigaud, dated 1689.
