A female portrait of exceptional elegance, distinguished by the grace and beauty of the subject. Captured in profile, the young woman's features are painted with great finesse and convey a serene feeling, marked only by a slight hint of sadness. The lateral light illuminates her head and casts her face in shadow with a splendid chiaroscuro effect. The rendering of the velvety skin and gathered black hair is excellent, contrasting sharply with the light and distinctive background. The play of light and color on the clothing, in an impressionist style, blends perfectly with the background, creating a highly three-dimensional visual image, the fruit of great pictorial skill and knowledge of portraiture.
