Clock in turquoise-blue marble and finely chased bronzes gilded with mercury.
Like the doors of Greek temples, our clock features all the canons of the neoclassical period so dear to the end of the 18th century.
On a sober rectangular base, two columns, each in front of a pilaster, frame the movement. Embellished with finely chased bronzes and gilded with mercury, they support the top part, rectangular like the base, but embellished with a projecting molding.
The ring-shaped, enameled dial features attractive guilloché decoration in the bronze center section.
The movement in perfect working order, overhauled and guaranteed, chimes in passing, hours and half-hours.
Neoclassical work from the Directoire period, circa 1800.
