Superb pair of 19th century finely chased and gilt bronze candlesticks.

Depicting kneeling female figures dressed in animal skins, supporting a cup decorated with vine leaves and grape clusters. Circular base with a laurel torus resting on a chamfered plinth.

French work, circa 1860–1880.
Very fine quality of chasing and gilding.
Height: 24.5 cm.
