Furniture and objets d'art of the 18th century
A “mirror à parecloses” with pediment in carved and gilt wood, dating from the late Louis XIV – Régence period.
The model features double frames carved with foliage motifs. The spandrels are decorated with scrolls and palmettes.
The pediment is original and of the period, with mouldings carved in keeping with the model, adorned with scrollwork and floral bouquets.
Beautiful original gilding. All mirrors retain their mercury silvering and are in good condition.
The backing boards (not photographed) are intact and unquestionably original.
A Provençal work from the very early 18th century (châteaux of the Aix region).
Very honest condition and very well preserved.
