Large Virgin and Child, 18th century

An important sculpture of the Virgin and Child in polychromed oak. She holds the nude Christ Child on her right arm, who carries a sphere in his hands, while she holds a sceptre in her left hand.

The original polychromy is in a good state of preservation, with some losses and signs of wear.

A work from western France, dating to the first half of the 18th century.
