This large and rare, quadrangular vase, decorated with cloisonné enamel on copper in the tsuikki shippo style with transparent enamel on a hammered (nanako) ground, features a magnificent and highly characteristic of this artist design of fish among wisteria and aquatic plants. It is in perfect condition.
The neck and base are silvered, with an incised mark on the underside of the base. Ogasawara Shuzo, Nagoya
