Offered by Le jardin des Moines
Wearing a mitre and a cope with ample, deeply carved folds, Saint Nicholas carries a pectoral cross and makes a gesture of blessing. Made of limestone, this work is likely from Burgundy and originated from a religious institution. It measures 130 cm long by 50 cm wide and 30 cm deep, and weighs over 200 kg.
It is in good condition despite the absence of hands, a typical example of votive degradation.
