Portrait of a woman in a bonnet, from the end of the 18th century, dated Year 8 of the Revolution: (September 23, 1799 to September 22, 1800) and signed D.Saint.
Large pencil and chalk drawing by Daniel Saint (1778 - 1847).
A French painter and miniaturist, a student of Regnault, he worked for the Bonaparte family and is considered one of the greatest miniaturists of the 19th century.
He was a painter to the king and a Knight of the Legion of Honour.
