Hebe After Antonio Canova (1757–1822)

This elegant marble sculpture depicts Hebe, the Greek goddess of youth and cupbearer to the gods on Mount Olympus. With her graceful pose and refined movement, she fully embodies the ideal of classical beauty sought during the Neoclassical period. The model is directly inspired by the famous composition by Antonio Canova (1757–1822), who created four versions of this work between 1796 and 1817. The first, executed between 1796 and 1799, is now in the Neue Pinakothek in Munich. This figure is considered one of the major examples of neoclassical sculpture, remarkable for the purity of its lines and the harmony of its proportions. A striking decorative piece, ideal for a classic interior or a prestigious setting. Dimensions: Height: 115 cm Width: 60 cm Depth: 50 cm Oval base: 33 × 27 cm For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
