A late 16th or early 17th c. red leather and gilt-iron bound casket.
Adorned on all sides with rectangular panels furnished with finials within a frieze frame. The lid is closed internally by a panel featuring the same decoration and displaying ducal coats of arms with a rampant lion. A secret compartment is built into the lid, and a drawer is concealed in the lower part. Reinforced by three wrought iron and gilded frets, the middle one of which is fitted with a hasp.
