Regency period console in gilded wood

A carved and gilded wooden console table, resting on two cabriole legs adorned with foliage and framing a stretcher decorated with cartouches, foliage, and openwork rocaille motifs.

The sides, also openwork, repeat the same decoration.

The two legs are joined by a beautiful stylized shell.

It is topped with a (later) red Rance marble slab.

Regency period work from the first third of the 18th century.

The gilding is in very good condition.
