A two-drawer chest of drawers on an oak frame veneered with rosewood and violetwood. The serpentine front is decorated with three panels filled with a trellis motif with gilt-bronze rosettes at the intersections. The panels are bordered by gilt-bronze borders with curved corners filled with bronze rosettes. The curved sides are decorated with similar panels. Each of the two drawers has gilt-bronze knob-shaped handles. The top is in variegated red griotte marble, and the whole is supported by four curved legs with gilt-bronze mounts. This chest of drawers, made in the late 18th century - early 19th century, is a copy of the chest of drawers by Gilles Joubert (Paris 1689-1775), located in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
