Louis XIV–period dressing mirror with red tortoiseshell inlays, a mark of quality, and brass.
The decoration, composed of scrolling foliage and acanthus leaves, is inlaid within shaped and contoured frames of finely chased bronze.
The reverse, veneered in rosewood, is fitted with a support allowing the mirror to be placed on a table, as well as, at the upper section, a ring for wall hanging.
