Pair Of Chapel Holy Water Fonts, 18th Century

These two marble holy water fonts, beautifully veined, await their reinstallation within the walls of a chapel. The shell, a major symbol of baptism, was traditionally used to pour water over the head of the baptized. Dimensions of the shell alone: 35 cm x 20 cm x 10 cm.
