A pupil of his father, Giovani Domenico Tiepolo, he worked in Venice with Pietro Longui and his uncle, F. Guardi.
He assisted his father on numerous projects. He accompanied him to Madrid from 1762 to 1770 and returned alone to Venice, leaving his brother Lorenzo in Madrid. Formerly in the Wendland Collection.
