Relics Of The Blood Of Saint Francis Of Assisi – 18th Century

Here are exceptional relics of our Holy Man. Exceptional both in its presentation and in the nature of the relics exposed to devotion. Below a painted medallion representing him, are three rare small separate reliquary ampoules. These astonishing glass vials contain some fibers of his clothes for one (ex habitu), a little of his blood from his stigmata of the Passion (ex Sang Stig), and a last one containing fibers made of the coarse and uncomfortable fabric that he wore as a sign of humility (ex-cilicium).

Our three fine vials are sealed with red wax. Below these relics where the ternary is elegantly expressed, are three letters S, F, A, designating our religious mystic.
The medallion measures approximately 7 cm by 5.5. It is inserted in a bronze monstrance, without rear support, 46 cm high by 16 wide.
This reliquary is a real treasure!
