Beautiful academic nude, charcoal on paper, French school, first half of the 19th century.
The academic nude depicts a man in three-quarter view with his right arm raised and his head turned to the right. A subtle play of light and shadow is evident in our drawing, highlighting the model's musculature.
We date the charcoal drawing to around 1840-1850, first half of the 19th century, similar to the Ingres school.
A beautiful carved and gilded wooden frame completes the decor.
Private collection.
