Pair of Louis XV period rococo candelabras

Asymmetrical, these two highly animated light sconces wind through the acanthus leaf motif, topped by candlesticks resembling blooming flowers and finished with finely chiseled flower bud sockets.
These arms connect to the mouthpiece with a bouquet of acanthus leaves and a bunch of grapes.

Finely chiseled with a shell motif, this connects the stem with a circular shoulder that spirals in a similar way to the stem.

The node is stepped and joins a concave terrace with a striated pattern of stylized foliage.

The base is of an animated shape, perfecting the beauty of this candlestick.

The distinctive feature of this beautiful pair lies in the movement of the highly coiled arms, reminiscent of the scrolls on wall sconces of the period. Furthermore, the contrast between the chiseled and struck bronze gives a particular brilliance to its beautiful gilding.

Louis XV period rocaille work in its beautiful original gilding.
Restored due to use and maintenance.

Dimensions: H 39 cm x D 16 cm
