Joe Descomps (1869-1950) - Dancer With Mask, circa 1920

A superb ormolu mask dancer, with the woman's jewellery slightly enhanced with polychrome enamels. Work circa 1920, finely chased, resting on an onyx base. Signed ‘Joe Descomps’ on the base. This model is reproduced in Bryan Catley's book ‘Art Deco and other figures’, page 136. Perfect condition. Art Deco period.
