Cylinder desk mahogany Louis XVI period stamped Jean François Leleu

Rectangular Cylinder desk in mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer with mouldings on all sides.
The top opens to reveal two drawers surmounted by a step surrounded by a gilded bronze ring. The cylinder opens to reveal a system with a sheathed writing surface revealing four compartments and three drawers.

It stands on four tapered fluted legs, with ormolu handles, key escutcheons, sabots and rings.
Louis XVI period, stamped by the Parisian master cabinetmaker Jean François Leleu.
1729-1807 master on september 19th 1764.
