This elegant mid-18th century (1761) Sèvres soft-paste porcelain covered bowl and stand is a fine example of the Rococo aesthetic. The bowl is richly decorated using the rouge en camaïeu technique, depicting vivid birds and pastoral landscapes in finely painted monochrome red. The lid features a naturalistic finial shaped as fruit and vine, and the rims are adorned with delicate gilding, highlighting the refinement of royal porcelain production.
Marked with the interlaced “LL” monogram and date letter “H” for 1761. This piece was painted by the celebrated artist Jean-Louis Morin, active at the Sèvres manufactory from 1754 to 1787. Known for his depictions of figures, military scenes, and birds, this work represents an early example of his distinctive and narrative style.
