Plate from the Duke of Parma's service

A Sèvres soft-paste porcelain contoured-rim palm plate with polychrome decoration of a bouquet of flowers and fruit in the center and birds in reserves set against a lapis-blue background surrounded by gold leafy palms on the wing.

Year 1764

Mark of the painter François-Joseph Aloncle (active 1758-1781)

This plate comes from the “lapis” service of Philippe, Duke of Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla (1720-1765).
